What Year Is It? How Long Have I Been Out?
You'll notice the first article published on this blog was from almost exactly 3 years ago. It issued an optimistic call to action from my behalf (albeit poorly written and overly verbose), on trying to build and maintain some momentum writing about Swift.
It talked about trying to use Swift outside of apple's ecosystem as a general purpose language. It tried to set the tone for a curious journey into the unknown, filled with uncertainty and some headaches.
Then crickets 🦗....
So WHAT HAPPENED?!
Exactly what that post said I was going to do, except I didn't write about it at all! Instead I fully immersed myself in the journey. That journey has officially come to an end, bringing with it newfound knowledge, appreciation and gratitude, as well as the start of a new one.
The next journey involves me sharing stuff I picked up a long the way and continuing to build on the Foundation I worked on. Swift is my primary language of choice and I use it for almost everything.
From here on out this blog will talk about that and try to compartmentalize the learnings I gathered. It will also try to give some insight on how I'm using Swift today for new projects and various interests, as well as talking about how to use Swift in a general sense and what's going on in the community.
So heres to a reboot of my Swift blog! May it age like fine wine this time around 😁
